EXTREMA: New Album To Feature Guest Appearance By HELMET Mainman
April 8, 2009Veteran Italian metal band EXTREMA has set a May 8 release date for its new, long-awaited studio album, "Pound For Pound", on Scarlet Records.
Following the group's 2005 effort "Set The World On Fire", the new CD sees EXTREMA going back to its thrash metal roots, displayed in 13 powerful tracks which have already been described as some of the best ever written by a band active in the scene since 1986. "Pound For Pound" consists of 13 tracks of groovy thrash metal with plenty of attitude, including a stunning version of KISS's classic "Deuce". The CD also features a very special guest apearance by HELMET's Page Hamilton on the track "You Make Me Sick".
A brand-new song, "Selfishness", is available for streaming on the EXTREMAMySpace page.
EXTREMA will embark on the "Pound For Pound European Tour 2009" in late May.
